چکیده
Defect-free graphene is believed to be the strongest material. However, effective strength of engineering used large-area in which defects are inevitable actually determined by fracture toughness, rather than intrinsic that governs breakage atomic bonds perfect graphene. Due limitations commonly adopted experiments, conventional continuum mechanics–based methods and fully atomistic simulations, polycrystalline under uniaxial tensile load explored performing peridynamic (PD) simulations this paper. The strength, strain, toughness graphene, as well grain size effect temperature on such quantities, studied work. results show follows an inverse pseudo Hall–Petch relation. strain decrease with a size. متن کاملOn the crumpling of polycrystalline graphene by molecular dynamics simulation.
Crumpled graphene has been emerging as a valuable component for a variety of devices such as supercapacitors or hydrophobic surface coatings due to its geometric change from a 2D to a 3D structure accompanied by changes in its material behavior. As polycrystalline graphene is easier to produce than pristine graphene, certain applications of crumpled graphene may be better suited to polycrystall...

Composite materials exhibit various damage and failure patterns under different loading rates, such as splitting and branching. متن کاملElectronic transport in polycrystalline graphene.
Most materials in available macroscopic quantities are polycrystalline. Graphene, a recently discovered two-dimensional form of carbon with strong potential for replacing silicon in future electronics, is no exception. There is growing evidence of the polycrystalline nature of graphene samples obtained using various techniques. Grain boundaries, intrinsic topological defects of polycrystalline ...
متن کاملPolycrystalline graphene ribbons as chemiresistors.
A IO N Graphene is a two-dimensional semimetal with zero band gap that exhibits excellent electrical, mechanical and thermal properties.[1,2] Transport through delocalized pi bonds allows charge carriers in graphene to achieve high mobility[3,4] for both electrons and holes, over ∼105 cm2/V·s for freely suspended graphene and >104 cm2/V·s for graphene on SiO2. Recent studies have suggested that...
